Got a new Macbook Pro and Bazik is not routed to the microphone input.

    Anyway to force it?
    Thanks.

Here is a good way for testing mic input… but you have probably done all of this step.

Please give me your OS and MacBook spec so i can check it.

Bazik is not appearing in my microphone permissions where my other applications are present.

On first installing Bazik on the new computer, the OS did not ask if Bazik had permission to use the microphone.

When first installing Modul8, Resolume, synesthesia, ect… on the new computer, the OS DID ask permission for those applications to use the microphone and those apps do appear in the microphone permission window and Bazik does not.

    Thanks John for your feedback.

The new Mac OS (Mojave) have new security filter, and Bazik was not create with the last Mojave SDK, that’s why he don’t ask you for permission at launch…
Have you try reset your PRAM ? After reboot, apps starts to ask for permission, maybe it’s work, but i don’t have a Mojave at home to try.

I create a new package with this update and post it soon 🙂

Here is a new package of Bazik, update with app permission for mic input. You can try it.

I’m looking to find a Mojave Mac to try it too.

You can try erase your PRAM before launch this version ? Normally it will ask you about Mic Input autorisation…

I spent an hour with Apple senior support. Apple was generous to help but ultimately pushed back on the app development.

I used your app to determine if audio was being routed. It is not.

I tested a usb interface microphone with success but Bazik is still not finding the macbook mic.

I deleted Bazik, deleted the Plist file in the library, reset the Pram and reinstalled Bazik.

Bazik never asked for permission to use the Macbook mic.

I just tried Bazik on my new Macbook Pro 2018.

Bazik did not ask for permission to use the internal microphone as my other apps did ask permission.
Is it a problem isolated to the 2018 Macbook Pro models? I now have 2 Macbook pro 2018 machines that Bazik will not rout to the microphone.

The version linked on this post work on my Mojave, but i’m waiting a feedback form Apple about my developper licence and a framework point.

Still no good on our Macbook 2018 models.

I feel certain that it has something specific with the 2018 models architecture.
    Thanks for trying.
