You can use the eq to adjust the sound input

… and Automation has 2 modes : click the circle next to “auto” for choose the level “Soft” or “Normal” (check FAQ for more details).

This is for the actual possibility about this point, but I know that it’s not really what you think about.

Bazik was created for DJs (and by a dj!) who want to put their music easily into video motion; this is why the presets are more suited to electronic music, focusing on the rhythm rather than melody. I worked a lot in this direction and I think it is successful for that use. 

Over time I realized that this tool could be useful for other styles of music: rock, salsa, classic, or TV show (oh my god, french tv shows are very bad in vjing ). That’s why now when I create new free preset, I’m looking in any direction, and if you try the first pack I just publish, you can find smoother presets. It’s just the beginning, but I try to satisfy everyone 🙂

You can have Bazik like this, by selecting Display 1 render, but I dont’ think is it what you are looking for…

To be sure, fullscreen is already available for render screen (Cmd+F / F).

But you are looking for the Admin window in fullscreen. I talk about this point with some users, and I think that this size is nice, specially if you work with others softwares or Traktor/Serato. Bazik don’t need more.

So your request is have Bazik on your main screen, like this ?

I created a system to update easily, an simple app in which we drag’n’drop Bazik for update.

In my opinion, there is several advantages :

– You can create a clone, and test the update with it

– You can update online and offline computer quickly

In the beta release, there is a bug with Syphon output server, and I think it is the problem. This point has been corrected, you should not see a problem with the new version.

That’s the magical part of Bazik, it’s automatic.

I’m trying to make a “smart” software that can analyse audio input to create the best motion match the tempo, style, occupation frequency ranges, silence… But, of course, the equalizer is the main tool.

I think that is a Syphon update compatibility.

Your request is legitimate, but i’m not sure is it for this product. I explain me. 

Bazik would be a “ready to play” software that can be easy use by everyone. I have work a lot around Sync Bpm and create a powerfull audio engine but for the final user I really want that he don’t have worry about it. 

That’s why, for this product, I don’t want MIDI Sync or complex connexion; run Bazik, plug your projector, and let’s go ! 

You are making drum & conga ? It’s work ! You are computer liver ? It’s work ! You are a old school dj with turntable ? It’s work ! That’s the philosophy for this product.

But your request is really interesting and Bazik users are separate between “novice” and “advanced vj”. I’m going to think about a Pro product with more precise parameters.

I hope Bazik become a suite of plugin where everyone can find account. We can write this story together and I’m open and ready to change my mind

– About an overall output intensity, it’s a nice idea, I already imagine a knob from Black-Normal-White, so you can cut or make white Flash. What you think about this ?

You can try CMD/F on the second screen, it’s worked on Lion. What about select “Display 2” in the Options Panel, you can’t hide the system bar ?

You have different way to get fullscreen.

CMD + F is the classic way (F for exit)

You can choose your output screen in the Options panel. 

Your situation suggest a Mac OSX problem. Have you troubles with other fullscreen app ? OSX Lion ? Maverick ?

There is no software for creating GLSL shaders because it’s just simple text file (with .frag extension). You can edit them with TextEdit.

Pixelshaders.com is the best way to start, and https://www.shadertoy.com/ is a nice samples platform.

Le tissu transparent donne un super effet, l’image n’est pas trop agressive et on voit bien le dj à travers. À refaire 🙂
